Fr. Pierre Tritz Institute – ERDA Tech held an orientation for parents on June 1, 2017. The event began with a plenary session at the St. Ignatius of Loyola Hall wherein the principal, Mr. Peter Marc Magsalin; the assistant for academics, Mr. Christian Bumatayo; the assistant for tech-voc education, Mr. Felix Pangan; and the industry linkage coordinator, Miss Marilyn Benedicto spoke to the parents about the school’s accomplishments, vision-mission, future plans, curriculum, class schedule, grading system, and in-plant training, among other things. All the faculty and the staff were also introduced.
After the open forum, the parents then proceeded to their children’s classrooms where they got to know the class advisers and the assistant class advisers (buddies) as well. The line-up of class advisers and buddies for school year 2017-2018 is as follows:
Grade 11 – St. Pedro Calungsod – (CA) Mrs. Eden Baltazar, (Buddy) Mrs. Michelle Testa
Grade 11 – St. Lorenzo Ruiz – (CA) Miss Hazelyn Verdejo, (Buddy) Mr. David Reyes
Grade 11 – St. Dominic Savio – (CA) Mr. Pierce Gallego, (Buddy) Miss Chyryz Valiente
Grade 12 – St. Ignatius of Loyola – (CA) Mr. Victor Victoria, (Buddy) Mr. Ramon Ricafrente
Grade 12 – St. Peter Faber – (CA) Mr. Joel Sulit, (Buddy) Mr. Felix Pangan
Grade 12 – St. Francis Xavier – (CA) Miss Reichelle Torricer, (Buddy) Mr. Noe Libradilla
The parents were also informed about concerns regarding the opening of classes (haircut inspection, proper uniform, etc.). Moreover, each class elected two officers: a president and a secretary.
The impressive attendance figures for this day shows that the parents value their partnership with the school in the education and the formation of their children. Indeed, the continuing support of parents is essential for the school to successfully carry out its vision and mission.
